Rydal Flats are small mild steel flat bars with rounded edges.  Rydal flat is produced by taking round steel and passing it through rollers to flatten it, thus producing as flat steel with a rounded edge.  It is commonly used for blacksmithing and decorative work in ornamental gates and fences.
